FAQs

  • When will I get my photographs?

I have a 4-6 week turn around time but will always aim to be as quick as I can as I know you’ll be eager to see them!

  • Where are you based and can you travel to me?

I am based in Worcestershire. Travel is included within 10 miles of WR2, additional miles charged at 45p per mile.

  • What are your payment terms?

I take a 25% deposit upon booking to confirm your date, and the rest of the balance is due 3 days before the shoot.

  • What if the weather is terrible?

I always get in touch with you a few days before your shoot to finalise details. This is also a good time to check the forecast. If the weather isn’t looking promising, I’m always happy to rearrange. The weather can make a huge difference to the photographs, and how children react, so I’d usually recommend waiting for a better day. Of course if you’re up to the challenge I’m happy to go ahead with wellies and raincoats!

  • What if I need to cancel?

I understand that life happens and sometimes you may need to cancel your shoot. You can cancel up to 48 hours before the shoot but in doing so shall forfeit your deposit unless an alternative shoot date is agreed at time of cancellation.

  • What shall we wear?

The shoot is about you, so wear what you feel comfortable in and let your personality shine through! However, it is important to think about colours. We want you all to fit together so choosing a consistent colour palette and tone is great. Somebody in bold, bright colours next to somebody in neutral colours may look unbalanced. You can always chat to me beforehand if you’d like more advice.

  • What if the children/babies don't play ball?

Having a 3 year old myself, I know the mood of a child can change with the wind, I promise nothing will phase me! I like to keep the shoots fun and relaxed for everyone, and if your child/baby is becoming bored or unhappy I either change what we’re doing or we can take a break - snacks are key!

  • Do you offer gift vouchers?

Yes, you can buy a voucher for any denomination required, to put towards a shoot or cover the full cost of one.

We booked an outdoors family shoot with Laura with 3 young children. Laura somehow managed to keep them engaged long enough to get some beautiful shots that we can treasure forever, despite the British summer taking a turn for the worse and we all got a bit soggy! Laura remained calm and professional throughout and I have happily recommended her to others.
